Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 30, 2026 · Posted: October 23, 2026 · Version 1.2 · Lady Checkmate

The expanded collection (section 3a) starts with the app version released on or after October 30, 2026.

MintC Inc. ("we", "us") operates the mobile game Lady Checkmate (formerly Court Stratagem; Korean title: 레이디 체크메이트; the "Game"). This policy explains what information we handle when you play.

1. Summary

  • You start playing without signing up. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or date of birth.
  • On first launch our server creates an anonymous account. Your game progress, purchase records, ad reward records and ranking records are tied to it.
  • The ads in the Game are rewarded ads: ads you choose to watch from a button, and skippable rewarded interstitials offered between duels. They are served by Google AdMob, whose SDK collects some information, such as the advertising identifier, directly from your device.
  • We use Google Firebase for usage analytics, crash reports and push notifications (section 3a). Outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics runs from the first launch; inside them it runs only if you consent. Personalised ads are used only if you allow them, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time.
  • You can delete your account and data at any time in the Game (Settings → Account → Delete account) or on the web: https://ladycheckmate.mintcinc.com/delete-account/
  • The Game is not directed to children under 13 (under 14 in Korea; under 16 where local law sets that age for consent).

2. Information we collect and why

All of it is generated automatically as you play.

Never the advertising ID or the click ID itselfTo measure our ad campaigns (ad measurement and attribution)As the per-account summary

If you email us: your email address, your message and your player numberTo answer you and process deletion requests1 year after the request is closed
  • Other players see only the server-generated name and your records on the leaderboard. There is nowhere in the Game to type a name or a message.
  • IP addresses are processed in transit but are not stored in our database.
  • Payment card details and your Apple ID or Google account are handled by Apple and Google and are never sent to us.

We do not collect: your name, email address (unless you email us), phone number, date of birth, postal address, contacts, photos, camera or microphone, precise location, health data, or user-generated text or chat.

3. Advertising and collection by third parties

Ads are served by Google LLC and its affiliates ("Google") through AdMob. The ads SDK does not run until you first tap an ad button, or until the ad consent prompts (below) are shown after you clear stage 3. It collects the following directly from your device, under Google's own privacy policy:

Collected by GooglePurpose
Device identifiers (such as the advertising ID)Serving ads, frequency capping, measurement, fraud prevention
Advertising data (ads viewed and tapped) and in-app interactionsServing and measuring ads
Approximate location derived from IP addressRegionally relevant ads, fraud prevention
Diagnostics (crashes, performance)SDK stability
  • iOS: the advertising identifier is used for personalised ads only if you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, the Game and its ad rewards work the same and you see non-personalised ads. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The Game's analytics (section 3a) works regardless of this choice and does not use the advertising identifier.
  • All regions: turn off Settings → Account → "Personalised ads" in the Game to stop personalised ads and the measurement signals used for them (on by default; stored on your device only). Personalised ads are used only if you allow them — on iOS when both the tracking permission above and this setting are on; on Android according to this setting and your ad consent.
  • Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads.
  • EEA, UK and Switzerland: a consent message appears before your first ad. You can reopen it at any time from Settings → "Ad privacy settings" in the Game.
  • To verify ad rewards we pass Google your anonymous account ID and a one-time value, and Google notifies our server when the ad has been watched.
  • How Google uses information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites · Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Apart from the above and section 3a we do not share or sell your personal information, except where the law requires disclosure. In the terms of some US state laws, the use of advertising identifiers for personalised ads may be a "sale" or "sharing"; you can opt out with the controls above.

3a. Analytics, crash reports and notifications (Google Firebase)

ServiceInformationWhenKept
Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics)App interactions and events (first open, tutorial, stage and chapter progress and results, screen views, product views and purchase steps, completed rewarded ads and similar), purchase history (product, amount, currency), the Firebase app instance ID (iOS and Android) plus, on iOS, the identifier for vendors (IDFV) — Firebase Analytics on iOS does not collect the advertising identifier (IDFA); device model, operating system and app version, approximate location (country and region) derived from IP address, one install-source user property (<utm source>/<utm medium>, or apple_ads / organic). Apple Ads campaign, ad group and keyword IDs and the utm campaign name are not sent to Firebase; they are stored only on our server (section 2)Outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, from the first launch (regardless of the iOS tracking permission). Inside them, only if you consent in the consent message; if you decline, nothing is sent. We use the build that does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). Signals for personalised ads are switched on only if you allow them (on iOS: tracking permission plus the "Personalised ads" setting)By Google, up to 14 months
Firebase CrashlyticsA record of a crash (stack trace, device model, operating system, app version, memory state, the screen and stage at the time), the Crashlytics installation UUID and the Firebase installation ID. No advertising ID and no account IDAlways, in the app from the stores — to keep the app stableBy Google, 90 days
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)The device's registration token for notifications (handled by Google) and the notification topics the device subscribes to (language, time zone). Our server does not store device tokensIf you allow notifications on your deviceManaged by Google
  • Purposes of Firebase Analytics: analytics (improving difficulty and the flow of play) and ad measurement (attributing installs and purchases to the ad that led to them).
  • Notifications: announcements arrive only if notifications are allowed on your device and "Notifications" is on in the Game's settings. "Events & news" notifications are promotional and are sent only if you explicitly consent in an in-app consent window (off by default). In South Korea they are marked as advertising ("(광고)") with opt-out instructions and are sent only between 10:00 and 20:00 local time, and consent is reconfirmed every two years. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → "Events & news"; the Game confirms the change. The record of turning them on or off is in section 2.
  • Refusing personalised ads: turn off Settings → Account → "Personalised ads" in the Game (all regions), decline tracking on iOS, or use your device's ad tracking limit (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android Settings → Google → Ads). These stop personalised ads and the signals used for them only. Analytics and ad measurement continue, and the transfer to Google continues.
  • Refusing analytics and the overseas transfer: in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, decline in the consent message (changeable at any time in Settings → "Ad privacy settings") and no analytics is sent. Elsewhere the only way is to stop using the Game and delete your account, after which the service cannot be used.
  • Outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland analytics starts at first launch; where the law does not require consent we process it to improve the service and measure advertising. For Korea, the processing we entrust to Google and the resulting overseas transfer are the entrusted processing disclosed in section 4.

MintC Inc. is based in the Republic of Korea. Your information is therefore processed outside your country, including in the United States and Korea, and is protected in transit by encryption (HTTPS).

Transfer to Google LLC (Firebase / Google Analytics), as listed for Korean law: recipient Google LLC; country: United States (and the countries where Google has data centers, listed at https://www.google.com/about/datacenters/locations/ ); items: those listed above; when and how: sent over the network while you use the app; retention: up to 14 months for Google Analytics data; contact for privacy questions: Google's privacy contact form, https://support.google.com/policies/contact/general_privacy_form . For Korean users this is entrusted processing disclosed in this policy under Article 28-8(1)(3) of the Personal Information Protection Act. How to refuse: see section 3a — turning off "Personalised ads" or using your device's ad tracking limit does not stop the transfer; to stop it, stop using the Game and delete your account, after which the service cannot be used (in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, decline in the consent message).

5. Legal bases (EEA and UK)

  • Performance of a contract — account, progress, gems ledger, purchases, ad rewards, leaderboard: needed to provide the Game you asked for.
  • Legal obligation — purchase records kept for 5 years.
  • Legitimate interests — usage events, the per-account summary, install source, crash reports and fraud prevention, and (outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, where no consent is required) analytics and ad measurement, to keep the Game working, stable and fair; announcement notifications you allowed on your device.
  • Consent — in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Firebase Analytics and personalised advertising, through the consent message; elsewhere, personalised advertising on iOS through the App Tracking Transparency prompt and, in all regions, the in-app "Personalised ads" setting; "Events & news" notifications, through the in-app consent window. You can withdraw it at any time.

6. Deletion and retention

  • When a retention period ends or you delete your account we erase the information so that it cannot be recovered.
  • Deleting your account removes the link to your account ID, your progress, gems ledger, ad reward records, ranking records and display name, usage events and platform link. Purchase records are kept for the period in section 2 without a link to your account.
  • Usage events are deleted automatically after 180 days, the per-account summary 400 days after your last activity, and notification consent records after 3 years.
  • Information Google collected for advertising is held by Google; use the controls in section 3.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your information, to receive a copy of it, and to complain to your data protection authority.

  • Delete: Settings → Account → Delete account in the Game, or https://ladycheckmate.mintcinc.com/delete-account/
  • Anything else: email support@mintcinc.com with the player number shown in Settings → Account. We do not hold your name or email address, so the player number is how we find your account. We answer within 30 days.
  • We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Children

The Game is not directed to children under 13 (under 14 in Korea), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have, we delete it. Parents and guardians can contact support@mintcinc.com.

9. Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to server data is limited to the people who need it. Accounts are recognised only by tokens signed by our server, and an account can be moved to another device only with a proof signed by Apple or Google. Payments are made only through Apple's and Google's systems; we never receive payment details.

10. Cookies

The Game does not use web cookies. An identifier for your anonymous account, your settings and Firebase installation identifiers (section 3a) are stored on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app. The website that hosts this policy uses no cookies or analytics.
